Foster Care Fortnight 2024

We’re looking forward to joining The Fostering Network’s annual national campaign, raising awareness about fostering and celebrating our foster carers alongside local authorities and fostering agencies across the UK.
Running from Monday 13 May – Sunday 26 May 2024, the theme this year is #FosteringMoments.
During Foster Care Fortnight 2024 we’ll be showcasing the moments that define fostering journeys, big and small. Moments that have changed lives and moments that have created lasting memories.
Please help us spread the word about fostering so we can encourage more local families in Reading to start their fostering journey with us, and help Reading’s most vulnerable children and young people feel safe and able to thrive.
How you can help
An easy way to help spread the word is to share our social media posts to your networks so people know where to come to make that all important first step. You never know, it might be you who changes a life!

- If you’re not able to foster yourself but would like to help, you can help us spread the word.

- Tell someone if you think they’d be a great foster carer! This can be a family member, friend or colleague.
- Invite someone to one of our information events.
