Speak with us about why we need to keep local children in care rooted in Reading

22 February, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

In Reading, we don’t have enough foster carers to look after the children and young people in care in our borough. We are looking for people locally to consider welcoming young people into their safe and secure home. This means children in care can stay at their school, near their friends and everything they know, minimising disruption at an already difficult time in their lives.

If you would like to find out what it’s really like to foster, this is information session is for you. One of our foster carers will join us for an informal chat about what fostering is all about. They’ll tell their story about how they became a foster carer and what it’s been like for them. Feel bring to bring a cup of tea and a biscuit.

This is an online session where you can ask our carers what you want to know about fostering. It could be anything!

  • What was your first night of fostering like?
  • What is it like to share your home?
  • Do you have your own children? What do they think?

No question is too silly, so please do join us. Email us for the link.
