Rooted in Reading tree - Awareness-raising event

Help our tree bloom with love

Come and show our fostering team your support today!

They'll be at the Rooted in Reading tree outside Reading Town Hall between 11am-2.30pm with a guest appearance from Reading Mayor, Cllr Alice Mpofu-Coles.

Keep children and young people in care local to their home town and communities

Our fostering recruitment team works so hard to encourage more local people to foster Reading children and young people so they can stay in their hometown when going into care. Too many of them have to be sent far away if there's no one local to offer them a home.

So, you're invited to come along and share your messages of love and support for the children, young people and the carers who welcome them into their homes to provide the support, love, care and warmth they need at the hardest times. Each message will be like a blossom, representing each child and young person blooming into their future thanks to the love and care of our community. If you'd like to chat about fostering with us, please fill in our enquiry form and we'll get in touch.

Otherwise, see you at the tree today!

Join us in-person and meet our foster carers!

Ever wondered what fostering is really like?

Come along to our next in-person information session on Tuesday 25 April, from 12 to 2pm.

One of our foster carers will join us for an informal chat about fostering, sharing their experience and story of becoming a foster carer.

The event provides the perfect opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the process and the support you'll receive.
